Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends.

Got gratitude?

My friend and brother stroke survivor Jim Chin (pictured above with his devoted wife, Alice) experienced a massive stroke eleven years ago.  Against all of the odds, he is still here.  He is making a positive difference in the world by sharing his journey with gratitude, transparency, love and humor.  I and his many friends from around the world are inspired by his remarkable recovery; I asked him for and received permission to share his Thanksgiving Facebook post with you.

We love you, Jim.  Thank you for all you do for all of us:

Dear friends, this Thanksgiving is eleven years that I have been able to enjoy with my family , I was not suppose to live a normal life per my neurosurgeon . He did not expect me to be alive after he opened my skull up to remove the blood clot of a size of a baseball

I want to thank my dear friend Bob Born, who made it a point to meet once a month with my fellow workers, it really helped my spirits, because ?I was always glad to see them make time to come. Into the city just to catch up on their lives and also thankful for All my ?facebook friends, which gave. Me the opportunity to stay in touch and for your patience in reading my horrible typing and spelling errors!I will try to proof read my post, but you will not laugh as much if you are able to make sense of my posts now!

Just think, that you miss the strain you must have had in reading my posts , but I was fortunate to have regained my speech some stroke survivors are notable to speak their thoughts, when they have Apasia,mWhere they know what they want to say but it does not come out of the mouth, ?It us the most frustrations G situation for a stroke survivor, thank goodness,I only had a milder-form of Aoasia.it!it-took a lot of speech therapy to help me regain some sense of the ability to speak in my speech,

MAY YOU ALL HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL THANKS GIVING.

I also want to thank all of the kind calligraphers who wrote encouraging words for me after my stroke and it was ?Rita and .VAL who initiated That project,.i treasure the three bounded books of all of the calligraphic words . On a bad day I will take a book out to lift my spirit up, so thank for everyone to took time from their busy days to write something to meI I love you all!

but then on the othter side my Wife was very disappointed with the members of,themCCC,CHICAGO CALLIGRAPHY MADE NO ATTEMPT TO SEE ME at all Not ALLbut, my mentor said to us that it was a DIFFERENT SEASON, AND SOME NOT MANY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH SUCH,CONDITION, BUT MANY DID COME TGROUGHT BY WORKING SO HARD TO MADe THE 28th International calligraphy conference Letters Mingle Souls a bIG sucess in 2008!I am thankful for all that worked so hard to making it HAAppen even with a co director with onky half half of a brain working properly!Enogh, Have a Wonderful THANKSGIVING! Thanksgivings!
