Transforming #@$% Growth Through Love

Growth.  Maybe we wouldn’t hate the process as much if we all had balloons?

Ready?  Set?  Grow!

Wouldn’t it be great if growth was that easy?

Growth is like the Woody Allen quote:  “I’m not afraid of death; I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”

Growth invites us to do something different.  When we resist doing something different, we feel uncomfortable.  Apparently we don’t like feeling uncomfortable.

Go figure.

My nickname is The Cosmic Ass Kicker.  I may kick, but I kick from love.  People who know me either appreciate me as their committed partner in growth or they get the hell away from me.  If you’re one for bitching and moaning, then I’m not what you want.  It’s not good for me to hear, and it’s not good for you to say.  Bitching and moaning is a great way to pull energy from empathic others so that they sink while you stay afloat.  That’s not cool.  Really, it’s not cool.  Instead, why not learn to be your own life preserver?

I’m here to lovingly inspire you, to keep you focused on doing fun things, on doing things to help our world, to join in community with others, and to help you help yourself.  As Albert Schweitzer so eloquently said, “One thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.”

Albert, you rock!

If you know me, trust that you’re going to change.  The world demands that we change. If you’re not changing, you’re not paying attention.  That’s why I do the work I do.

I don’t do it to hurt people.  I know how it feels to be hurt, and I hate hurting people.  I even hate hurting the people who have hurt me the most.  Believe it or not, I’ve been accused of enjoying those moments when I lovingly get in someone’s face to show them the harm they’ve done to others.  As much as I know I’m supposed to say what I’m saying to someone in service to their soul, that’s as awful as I feel to be hurting someone.

It’s exactly the opposite.  I love people so much that I’m willing to be the unpopular catalyst who helps them reach their potential.

I used to have a friend whose late husband was a Cosmic Ass Kicker.  He loved her so much he was willing to endure her being pissy with him when he partnered with her in the growth of her soul.  And he partnered with her in such an elegant way!

When she was faced with doing something she didn’t want to do, she’d say and do whatever she felt she had to say and do to try and get out of doing it.  Her husband, beautifully peaceful soul that he was, witnessed her wailing away in full tantrum mode and simply said, “Is that your highest response?”

She was thinking grrrr while she acknowledged the wisdom of his words.  And she’d eventually come out of full tantrum mode to do the thing she hadn’t wanted to do.  In the end, she was grateful for his loving her enough to hold her to a higher standard than she’d held herself.

We all need someone to inspire us to reach our highest potential.

Even you.

Stop grrrring at someone who loves you.

If you’re sincere about reaching your highest potential, I’m here for you if you’re here for yourself.

I’m a Love of Life Catalyst.  I feel I saved my life after a life-changing stroke and I feel I helped to prolong my cancer dog’s life by focusing on shared love, shared fun, shared service, and blessings.

It may suck to go through the growth process, but we’ll go through it together and it won’t be as bad.  We’ll laugh, we’ll love, we’ll transform.  I invite you to visit the Love of Life Coaching page on www.TransformingThroughLove.com for more information.

Even if you don’t choose to work with me, please find yourself a soul friend.  Please find yourself a mentor.

Why?

As Prince said at the 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards:

“A real friend and mentor cares for your soul as much as they do their own.  This world and its wicked system will become harder and harder to deal with without a real friend and mentor.  I wish all of you the best on this fascinating journey.  It ain’t over.  Peace.”
